Siena enjoys a continental climate, warm in summer and cold in winter. The ideal months to visit the city and its surroundings are April, May, June, September and October and, depending on the year, March and November. During the summer the temperatures are very high, and the surrounding hills and countryside become fiery, fortunately in the evening comes the cool. In winter, especially at night, it is not uncommon for the temperature to drop a few degrees below 0 and for snow to arrive in the higher areas.
Siena is distinguished by the attention it pays to people with disabilities on several fronts: from transport to cinemas, theaters, museums and also offers many possibilities with regard to accessible tourism. Travelling for tourists with disabilities is often difficult, as many facilities and public transport do not have easy access and do not provide assistance to this particular type of user. But this is not the case in Tuscany and in particular in Siena.
Taxi: There are nine vehicles used to transport disabled people in wheelchairs. The radio unit is active 24 hours a day; an operator is available from 07.00 to 19.00 and automatic service is available from 21.00 to 07.00.
Tourist Check-Point Bus: Bean, Fishing Route.
